These bangles appeared in the Dialogue exhibition which took place from 13 April to 7 May 2023 at M16 Artspace in Canberra. They are made from sterling silver, with an internal circumference of 21cm and a maximum height of 0.8cm. One bangle is oxidised (black), and the other has a high polish exterior and a matte interior.
Dialogue was an exhibition by Nicola and her fellow ANU graduates Saskia Den Brinker, Jonathon Zalakos and Cathy Zhang. Saskia, Nicola, Jonathon and Cathy met in the ANU’s Gold & Silversmithing workshop in 2018. After leaving the workshop behind—and missing the camaraderie, inspiration and influence that is a feature of a shared space—they decided to challenge each other to extend their practices. The result was Dialogue.
